Complete Pilates Program Overview
The Complete Pilates Program provides extensive training for individuals aiming to become Certified Pilates Instructors. This course is perfect for those seeking opportunities in top fitness centers, wishing to start their own Pilates studio, or preferring to work independently.

Path to Your Pilates Certification
1. Comprehensive Training: To master the Pilates methodology, complete the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, covering Mat and all Pilates apparatus training.
2. Certification Assessments: Pass the online tests for each course level to earn Course Completion Certificates, verifying your proficiency in the respective Pilates disciplines.
3. Apprenticeship Hours: Accumulate 450 apprenticeship hours, blending theoretical learning with practical application. Include no more than 20 observation hours, with at least 10 hours on the Mat and each apparatus, to ensure well-rounded training.
4. Anatomy Proficiency: Complete an anatomy course or conduct self-study with provided materials to understand human anatomy relevant to Pilates exercises.
5. CPR Certification: Obtain CPR certification, a necessary safety qualification, before final document submission for accreditation.

Path to Your Pilates Mat Certification
1. Completion of the Mat Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.
2. Must complete and pass the end-of-level online tests (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced) to earn the 'Course Completion Certificate.'
3. Fulfill 100 apprenticeship hours, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. A maximum of 10 hours from PCO online courses may count towards these hours, with no more than 10 hours being observational.
Important Note for Mat and Reformer Program Participants:
- Anatomy Study and CPR Certification: These are not required for Mat or Reformer certification programs. Although not mandatory, they are highly recommended for enhanced knowledge and safety.
Complete Reformer Certification
Reformer Pilates Program Overview
The Reformer Pilates Program equips individuals to become Certified Pilates Reformer Instructors (CPRI), focusing on advanced training using the Pilates reformer equipment. Path to Your Pilates Reformer Certification
1. Master the advanced techniques of Pilates using reformer equipment through Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced level courses.
2. Successfully pass all online tests at each course level to earn the “Course Completion Certificate.”
3. Complete 150 apprenticeship hours, which blend theoretical learning with practical application. Up to 10 hours from online courses may be applied, with a limit of 10 observational hours.

Requirements
Achieve your Pilates Certification in six steps:
1. Account Setup and Course Enrollment
- Register for a free account and then purchase the Complete Pilates course.
- Complete the course's Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, passing all associated online tests. Training manuals are recommended.
2. Online Courses and Apprenticeship
- Begin your Pilates training online while accruing apprenticeship hours.
- Work under a certified Pilates instructor or at an accredited Pilates center, following their rules.
3. Documenting Apprenticeship Hours
- Log your hours in teaching, observation, and workshops.
- Use the PCO-provided forms in your member account's 'Resources' tab.
4. Submission of Documentation
- Email your apprenticeship log, CPR certification, and anatomy study sheets to the PCO corporate office. (Note: for Complete Pilates Program only).
5. Practical Testing
- After document review, complete the final practical test as instructed.
- Submit a video of your teaching session via a digital platform.
6. Certification Issuance
- Receive your Pilates certification from The Pilates Studio® of Los Angeles after passing the practical test.

Final Submission Checklist
1. Course Completion Certificates
- Submit certificates for each completed course level: Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs, and Barrels for the full program; Mat or Reformer for individual certifications.
2. Offsite Pilates Facility Verification Form
- Provide a form confirming your apprenticeship location and the supervision by a certified Pilates instructor.
3. Apprentice Hourly Log Form
- Include documented evidence of your apprenticeship hours, showing diverse training activities under certified supervision.
4. Instructor(s) Certification Proof
- A copy of your supervising instructor’s certification must be provided to verify their qualifications and your apprenticeship under them.
5. Personal Identification
- Include a copy of a valid state driver’s license or passport for identity verification.
6. Anatomy and CPR Requirements
- For full program participants, submit your Anatomy study sheets, proof of completing a college-level anatomy course, and CPR certification. (Full certification program only)
After completing all certification requirements, please scan and email all forms/documents to [email protected] with the subject line 'Final Certification Docs.'
Submit all final certification documents together for testing after meeting program requirements. There is no need to send forms before or during the program starts. Reviews are first-come, first-served. Expect approval or request for more docs within 14 days of submission. Once approved, members will receive an email confirmation and final test instructions.
Final Testing for Certification
After all necessary documents for Pilates Certification are submitted, students will receive an email notification about the status of their submission. If accepted, they can schedule the final practical test.
