It is the student's responsibility to verify credentials directly with their potential mentor before beginning any apprenticeship relationship.

In many countries, including the United States, there is no government-mandated accreditation body for Pilates certification. Instructors choose their training path based on personal and professional goals rather than legal requirements. This information can vary from country to country, so it is the student's responsibility to understand the certification standards and regulations within their own region. The Pilates instructor network welcomes Certified Instructors from all backgrounds to give back to the global Pilates community. Studios and wellness businesses can sponsor a team member's Pilates certification through PCO, building qualified in-house teaching talent. Employer sponsorship does not automatically make the employer a PCO Affiliate — these are separate paths. The employer identifies the person they want to train; PCO provides the education and certification program.

PCO can discuss preferred professional rates for group or employer-sponsored enrollments. Employment, reimbursement, repayment, or work-commitment arrangements remain between the employer and the participant.
